For Spinelli S.r.l., a manufacturer of profiled steel sheets with an operating base in Adro (BS), the studio reviewed the existing steel decking range and designed new steel solutions through an integrated programme of structural analysis and experimental testing.
The testing campaign investigated the behaviour of the sheets both without concrete and with a concrete topping, producing the parameters needed for design and for assessing load-bearing capacity.
Combining experimental results with calculation analysis led to the preparation of load tables, providing a technical reference for using the sheets in the different configurations and load conditions required.
