The structural intervention concerned the recovery of a disused industrial shed, once used for steel fabrication, in the Famagosta district of Milan.
The building, converted into an event venue with about 7,200 square metres of covered space and 3,000 square metres of yard, underwent seismic upgrading and strengthening of the existing steel structures.
New steel structures were created for congress, exhibition and multimedia functions.
The intervention enhanced the site's industrial-archaeology identity while adapting it to its new use.
